Today Dunes (the musical combo of sisters Jamie & Tessa McDell) have shared a strikingly colourful, DIY music video for their debut track ‘Horses’. Created with the help of wizkid Benjamin Brooking, the video features clips from old family videos that play out over the bold spectrum of colours as the duo kicks up a storm of synchronised dance.

Of the video, Dunes say: “We thought it would be nice to add a personal sisterly touch, and do something a little psychedelic with the imagery. To add to that home-made vibe comes the dance moves, which remind me of performances we used to put on for our parents growing up. It’s a slightly unpolished and raw video that links strongly back to us, and the roots of our musical journey.”

The single, produced by Thomas Healy (Tiny Ruins, Clap Clap Riot, and Paquin) has featured on Apple Music’s Best of the Week playlist and VICE / NOISEY, who said of the track: “on first listen justifies their early comparisons to the big pop of Grimes and Purity Rings.”
